About Minneapolis-Saint Paul
Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport is the primary hub for Delta Air Lines' northern operations and experiences some of the most severe winter weather of any major US hub. Minnesota blizzards, ice storms, and extreme cold — temperatures regularly reach -20°F (-29°C) — create challenging conditions for ground operations, de-icing, and runway maintenance.
